It is confrimed that Tobey Maguire is going to do Spederman for two more sequels, 4 & 5. Director Sam Raimi is also coming back to direct the movies. Sony wanted to film the sequels together, beginning in late 2009, to keep the budget down. "The studio never considered any other actor. Tobey was our only choice and the only person we've discussed the role with" said a spokesman about recasting the role. Sony will pay Maguire $50 million to shoot both films over six months. As a part of his deal is that he can take evenings and early mornings off to spend time raising his daughter. Kristen Dust who played Mary Jane Watson in the three previous films had also expressed openness to return with Raimi and Maguire. Some of the rumored villains for the next films are Lizard (actor Dylan Baker who potrayed Dr. Curt Connors expressed interest in doing the character's villainous alter-ego), Kraven the Hunter, Vulture and Electro.
