The Bank Job premiered at Australia in Sydney where Jason Statham who has the main role in the movie appeared. Statham, is best known for his roles in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Transporter, Crank and Snatch. He will head to Melbourne this weekend to introduce a film festival screening of The Bank Job. The film has already a lot of promotion there. Generally the film has mainly got positive reviews worldwide saying that is one of the best movies of the first half of these year. It has until now a gross of $44,111,064. Sure it's a good year for the action star Jason Statham. After the success of The Bank Job his new film Death Race will be released this summer, while two more films Crank 2 (which is being filmed) and Transporter 3 are on the line. Now Transporter 3 has a teaser which looks promising. This will be the third movie from the Transporter trilogy where Jason will play once again Frank Martin. I really like the first Transporter and I wish the third one will be as good as the first one. The movie is set for a release late this year.Sunday, June 8, 2008
First pictures have been released from the upcoming movie Death Race starring Jason Statham. SlashFilm.com has some of production stills. The film is a remake of the 1975 film Death Race 2000. The story takes place in a future America, where prison inmates are forced to compete against each other in a driving arena. A prison warden (Joan Allen) forces Ex-con Jensen Ames (Statham)who has only a few weeks before his release into becoming a driver. The prisoner becomes a crowd favorite known as Frankenstein. The film is going to be released on August 22.

Transporter 3 will be the third and last film of the Transporter series. Jason Statham is going to be Frank Martin once again and Francois Berleand is going to return too as Tarconi. Robert Knepper from Prison Break has been added to the cast and is probably going to do Frank's rival. Olivier Megaton is going to direct the film and the shooting will be at France and Russia. Statham said it's a decent film in addition of Trasporter 2 which says was a little too cartoony. As far for Crank 2, electric heart concept is said to be out and now they're trying to find how Chev Chelios stays alive after he dies in Carnk 1. It's really good to know that the third Transporter is going to be different from the second one which in my opinion had a weak plot. I like a lot the first one though.

The Bank Job is a movie based in a 1971 true life London-based heist. Nobody was ever arrested. No money was recovered. The story was prevented from ever being told because of a D-Notice government gagging order. The movie reveals the hidden truth for the first time. It involves murder, corruption and a sex scandal with links to the Royal Family. The thieves were the most innocent people involved. In the film starres action star Jason Statham, Saffron Burrows, Stephen Cambell Moore and James Faulkner. The movie will be released in 7 March in 2008. The movie seems interesting and hope it will be nice. Here is the official trailer.
