Though it was rumored that Orlando Bloom would take the lead role, it is announced that Jake Gyllehaal is going to be the Prince at the new Walt Disney's movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The movie is an adaptation of Ubisoft's popular video game series: Prince of Persia. It is set in medieval Persia, where prince Dastan (played by Gyllenhaal) teams up with a rival princess Tamina to stop an angry ruler from possessing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world. Gemma Arterton (who also plays at the upcoming movie Quantum of Solace) going to play Tamina. Mike Newell is going to direct the film. The production is set to start in July in Morocco and England.
