Nim's island is an upcoming adventure-fantasy film based on a book with the same name written by Wendy Orr. The film is about Nim, a young girl who imagines an island to be magical, basing its mystic nature on the experiences of her favorite fictional character, Alex Rover. When Nim's father goes missing on the island, Nim teams up with Alexandra, the author of the Alex Rover books and Rover himself. Abigail Breslin plays Nim, Gerard Butler plays both Nim's father Jack and Alex Rover and Jodie Foster plays Alexandra. The film is directed by Jennifer Flackett and Mark Levin.
