The Dark knight is a direct sequel from the last film of the series Batman Begins. Christian Bale is once again in the role of Batman and Heath Ledger plays as Joker. In the film also starring Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael Cain, Gary Oldman & Morgan Freeman. In the film, Batman tries to continue his war against the crime. With the help of lieutenant Jim Gordon and district attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. Although the partnership will be effective, they'll soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as the Joker. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan who also directed Batman Begins.
